FAQ’s
How should I frame my new artwork?
All artworks have a minimum 6.35mm or 1/4 inch white space around the edges, as this is the most common allowance for frames.
We recommend getting your artwork professionally framed, to conservation grade framing standards. While your artwork would last for many years with an off the shelf frame, Poor framing can lead to discoloration, fading, acid burn, and other severe and unnecessary damage.
If you are framing yourself, a few tips to ensure the longest life possible:
Ensure there is no contact between the artwork and glass.
Do not use MDF backing boards - they contain acids & gasses that will deteriorate your artwork over time. a Cotton RAG backing board is ideal.
If you are using a mat board, ensure it is acid free and lignin free.
Ensure your mounting & fitting techniques are reversible and work to preserve the artwork.
Can you provide a frame with my artwork?
Not at this stage, framing style is something that will be unique to each individual and the space in which you wish to display your art, but we are looking into options long term.
When will my artwork arrive?
For prints, each is produced at the time it is ordered, it can be two to three weeks before you receive your artwork. Shipping is included in the price, and all prints will ship via Express Post Australia wide.
For commissions, this will vary wildly depending on the nature of the artwork. Rough estimates will be given during the initial discussions once we understand the style, size, and content. This could be as quick as a print, or it may take several months. Please reach out to us via our contact page to know more.
